This Privacy Policy explains how Scorify (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Scorify app and visit scorifyapp.com. Scorify lets you record matches with a scoreboard, mark highlights, and control scoring from iPhone and Apple Watch. We designed Scorify to process your content on your device and to collect only what’s necessary to keep the app working and improve it over time.

What we process

1) Content you create (on-device)

Videos & audio you record, scoreboard overlays, labels, and highlight markers are stored locally on your device or wherever you export/share them (e.g., Photos). We do not upload your videos to our servers. We do not operate a cloud service for your media.

2) App usage analytics (limited)

To understand feature usage and improve Scorify, we log basic in-app events (e.g., app launch, start recording, start trial, subscription purchase). These may be processed by our analytics partner (Meta App Events). No IDFA/ATT tracking: We do not collect Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) and do not track you across other apps or websites for targeted ads. Analytics are used in aggregate to measure performance and conversions for our marketing.

Regional consent: Where required by law (e.g., the EEA/UK), we display a consent banner and only enable analytics after you choose Accept. In other regions, we may not show a banner and basic analytics may load by default.

3) Website analytics (Google Analytics 4)

When you visit scorifyapp.com, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand site usage and improve the website. GA4 may process page views, device/browser type, approximate location (derived from IP at a coarse level), referrers, and click events (e.g., outbound clicks such as the App Store button). GA4 may use cookies or similar identifiers. We do not use GA’s cross-app tracking or personally identify you; we use aggregate reports to measure traffic and conversions.

4) Diagnostics (optional, platform-controlled)

Apple may provide us crash and performance logs if you enable sharing in iOS settings. We use these to fix bugs and improve reliability. We don’t receive information that directly identifies you.

Cookies & consent (website)

On scorifyapp.com, we show a simple consent banner (especially for EU/EEA/UK visitors) to control whether analytics and ads-related storage are enabled. Your choice is remembered in your browser (e.g., local storage/cookies). You can change or withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage/cookies or by using consent controls on our site (when available). If consent is denied, GA4 and ads-related storage are restricted accordingly.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect your precise location, contacts, calendars, or photos (beyond the video you choose to save to your library).
• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not collect biometrics or health data.
• We do not maintain server copies of your videos.

How we use the data

• Provide core features (scoring, recording, highlights, exporting).
• Improve app and website quality, safety, and performance.
• Measure non-personal analytics for installs, subscriptions, and feature usage.
• Comply with legal obligations.

Sharing and processing with third parties

We share only what’s necessary to operate Scorify:

• Apple (StoreKit, App Store, iOS services): for purchases, receipts, and system services.
• Google (Google Analytics 4): website analytics for scorifyapp.com to measure traffic and site performance. We use aggregate reports and do not use GA cross-app tracking or remarketing features.
• Meta (App Events): to measure installs and in-app events (e.g., start recording, trial, subscription). We do not send an IDFA and do not use cross-app tracking.
• Other service providers (as needed): strictly for app operations, analytics, support, or compliance. They process data on our instructions.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Data location & retention

Location: Our processors (e.g., Google, Meta) may process data on servers outside your country.
Retention: On-device content remains until you delete it. Analytics and diagnostic data are retained only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Google Analytics 4 event data retention follows your GA settings (commonly 2–14 months).

Your choices & rights

• On-device control: You control your videos. Delete them at any time from your device.
• Purchases & subscriptions: Managed through Apple’s App Store (view/cancel in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions).
• Privacy settings: You can limit diagnostic sharing in iOS Settings.
• Website analytics choices: Use the consent banner on scorifyapp.com to allow or deny analytics/ads storage. You can also clear your browser’s cookies/storage to reset your choice.
• Google tools: You may install Google’s Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on and manage ad personalisation in your Google Ads settings.
• Access/erasure requests: Because we don’t host your videos, most data lives only on your device. For analytics entries associated with your app activity, contact us and we will work with our providers to honor access or deletion where applicable.
• Consent preferences (web): If you saw a consent banner and want to change your choice later, you can clear your browser’s site data for scorifyapp.com to reset the prompt and select again.

Depending on your region (e.g., EU/EEA/UK, California), you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection/restriction). Contact us to exercise these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as defined under California law.

Children’s privacy

Scorify is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we’ll take appropriate steps.

Security

We rely on iOS security (app sandboxing, permissions) and industry-standard practices with our processors. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post changes here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be announced in-app.
